Just heard back from a friend of mine who travels often to America and she told me that a hotel called "Days Inn" is cheap (only 2-3 stars) but clean and very central. Just around the corner from Times Square and Broadway. They are a chain so we, or my travel arranging girls or son in law, should look it up on the map to see if it fits into our plans. Also she said to ask for a room above the 5th floor. Great location in her opinion.

That accom sounds good. If it doesn't work out you could look in to the apartments that we are staying at in NY as I think she has more then one. Although we are staying for the whole week so I don't know if they are available for less then that?

Little Veronika is gorgeous, she has dark hair and is really strong. She reminded me of Jackie for some reason. I have pictures and will load them up shortly, so stay tuned.

Marty, Adrienne sent me a photo of little (?) Veronika yesterday that Gab had sent to her phone and when I looked at her she reminded me of someone and then I realised it was Jackie she resembled.
Bec and I are planning to go and see them tomorrow.

Hi all, thanks for all the good wishes and nice comments. I have limited connection in here for some reason. I am only able to send emails to other bigpond accounts and I tried to change my photo to one of both my girls but wasn't able to. Jack I sent a heap of photos to dad and asked him to forward them to you so you should get them soon.

Ancy - it is official - we are arriving in Vegas on the 1st October so we will be there with you all. Sharon has kindly offered to have Scarlett with them. She did that by saying how dissappointed she was that Scarlett would not be on the same flight as her. Then she laughed. I wonder why?
It may have been after the second time Scarlett yelled at her that Veronika was her little sister and not Shazza's!

I have to say that I am a very proud Aunty and only wish I could be there to meet little Veronika and see and hold both my nieces!! I am VERY HAPPY to hear that all my family will be in Vegas on the 1st!! It is going to be sooo much fun!!!

Gab, I hope I understood correctly that the 1/10 is definate? If so what time do you arrive? Also, now that you guys are coming on the 1st we should all get accommodation in the same hotel. If that's not possible, then very close to one another so we can help with babysitting etc. Also, thank you for the photos! I did get them from Dad - they are soo cute!! Keep them coming if you can!

Hi all - thank you again for all the lovely comments. Veronika is excellent - her jaundice is gone. The nurse on this morning could not get over the difference in the colour of her skin. (To be honest I hadn't noticed any difference - like you Bec I thought she looked like she had nice olive skin!! ) Scarlett is doing well so far. She loses it a bit if she has been here too long and her lung capacity has been experienced by the entire maternity ward but the tough love will come back as soon as I get home and life settles down a bit - especially to ensure we don't make headlines as the Aussie family kicked off the plane because of their 3 year olds tanties!!
Marty I love the photos of Veronika you have put on here. Please send them to me when you can. I received a lovely email from your future in laws congratulating me which I really appreciated.

Hey Jacko, it is definite. 1st of October at about 3:30pm we arrive in Vegas. I don't mind where we stay as long as it is near everyone!! Conrad will stay at the Stratosphere for his seminar but we can stay with you guys for the first part. Scarlett would love that and then Conrad and I can utilise all the available babysitters! Scarlett and Harry will love being together as well.

Bec (and all else in the know) I forgot to ask you about the shopping in Vegas. Many people have told us not to pack too many clothes as the discount shopping there is supposedly excellent. Opinion????
